Development of affordable housing in and around the Zone to meet demand and opportunity. Demand in the Zone is high due to the low median household income in the community.
Public Infrastructure, Facilities and Services
Improvements to the physical infrastructure and public facilities within the Zone to provide adequate capacity and enhanced delivery of critical public services. Infrastructure improvements will focus on the grid formed by the intersection of South Post Oak, Allum Road, West Orem Drive, and Hiram Clarke Road.
Green Space, Parks, Plazas and Recreational Amenities
Development of green space opportunities for the creation of cohesive and vibrant communities within the Zone. Creation of parks, plazas, public squares, natural areas, recreational amenities, cultural amenities and landscaping in public right-of-ways to help foster social international that define the public realm and urban culture.
Economic Opportunity
Development and redevelopment of vacant, underdeveloped and underperforming areas of the Zone through targeted real estate acquisition, demolition of structures, ad land improvements, to spur appropriate development activity, promote private investment and improve economic opportunities for existing and future residents and business owners.
